Pub in aberystyth. quite seedy and hold the meeting place of RocSoc. Only popular as they hold a late licence, Which is great as all the other Townie Bars cannot get one, even the massive one over the road from it (AberBars/TheAcademy). Fantastic

The Angel is where the goths, the Punks and the indiekids hang out to get drunk and listen to loud music. During the day, it's a dingy little dive, and at night it become a dingy little dive with loud music.
On Monday nights you can go along and listen to indie and Emo whilst crying into your drink about how lame your life is (like what the hell are you doing in the Angel on a monday night??).
Tuesday nights are exclusively for people who listen to NuMetal and Industrial. Don't even bother going if you like any other type of rock or metal music, or if you want to hear different songs played from week to week that's not what RocSoc is about. Also don't go there if you don't like being stared at coz you're not "cool", and if you have something against being pushed into just coz you are a really nice person. <+ well, aren't we the bitter man-bitch...
Wednesday night is PunkSoc night, usually hardly anyone turns up, despite having the best (at least when Spectre is DJing) selection of heavy music of any "alternative" night in Aberystwyth. On a wednesday night you can feel quite safe in the Angel as long as you don't mind occationally seeing a brightly coloured mohawk (probably belonging to Punk Bob) bobbing around on the miniscule dance area. Beware of the punks.
The only good thing about the Angel is the kebab shop two doors down. It's a stinking little hole where the beer is too expensive (they put up the price of HB by 10p, breaking the 2quid barrier -- Spectre) and its too far away from any cash points, unless you want to walk the two minutes it takes to get to one. If you go there during the day you are likely to be attacked by annoying little kids running around screaming. If you aren't attacked then they'll stand there and stare at you, occationally making loud comments to their parents, who will be propping up the bar and smiling fondly at their little devil children.
Oh, and one more good thing about the Angel is that you'll never see any chavs or townies there to upset your drink. -- Obviously not been in on a Friday or Saturday night. Oliver. Or on any other day....

Rocsoc is never as good as it was "in my day". In whose day this refers to, is up to the speaker of this commonly heard phrase. Rocsoc also harbours evil and pathetic people, although to mention their names is to be hunted down and destroyed until they force you to leave the town. Other than that its a great place.
Not been decorated for 10 years... doesn't sell Caffreys despite the sign above the door. Don't use the toilets past 9PM. <=- lies, we repaint it every year. Lol, also has the best CCTV system in aber, but don't worry, the bouncers still know the spots it can't see :>
