Does anyone have a DC++ server running on the aber internal network?

As the one person in charge of the DC++ hub on the University network last year, i would like to bring to attention the following:
When the UWA network admins discovered that the mass amounts of traffic slowing down stunet were due to DC++, they took steps to block the machine running the dc++ hub from stunet. they then informed me that if another hub were to be discovered, the person in question would be refused access to stunet for the rest of the academic year, this could lead to you not being able to complete coursework, not recieve e-mails and similar, also, you would be reported to the dean of your department, therefore it is highly likely that this would lead to your expulsion from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. Therefore, IMHO, don't do it, the warning is there, it aint worth the risk. It certainally isn't worth the frovelling to IS. -- Ollie
