CompSci graduate of 2010, Ben currently works in Machynlleth on the new ERTMS signalling system. He frequently sends sarcastic emails to seniors as he knows no one pays attention to him.
Ben spent his IY at Sun Microsystems playing with Sun servers and Solaris, he loves SPARC, Sun Rays, and Solaris.
An Apple lover, he sports the latest iPhone as well as a first generation MacBook and a 2009 Mac Pro.
Forquare means son of right hand, which is what Benjamin means in Hebrew.
Dissertation Project
The VAES (Virtual Application Environment System) was an attemt at using Solaris Zones (BSD Jails) to create sandboxes for applications. It somewhat worked, and code can be found here.
