Well change that to whatever people think makes them happy. Thats where the attractive bit came from.
Animals can't *think* they are happy when they aren't. Its mostly to do with stress when it comes to how the animal tastes. A less stressed animal is a happier animal. The same can't be applied to humans. Because humans can be happy *and* stressed.
Since when can't animals *think*? We're animals???

I am sure animals get stressed when they are happy you know. I mean maybe its different things (best spot in shed, if the mooing/clucking noise is the best) but I am sure the trauma of getting killed for someones burger is pretty stressful....
It may be, but it doesn't have enough time to effect the tastiness of the meat.
