Dear Resident
Re: Prohibited Substances
It has been bought to my attention by the Penbryn Portering Staff that, whilst on their usual rounds of the campus, they suspect the use of illegal drugs (cannabis) on your floor.
I would draw your attention to the University Rule (2.10) which states that:
"Students must not, while on the property of the University, or while engaged in any Institutional activity, have in their possesion any drug proscribed by law".
Should I receive any further reports from the Porters, or should a student be found dealing or using such substances, then further disciplinary action will be taken. This would involve expulsion from the Halls and/or the matter being referred to the Police.
Yours sincerely
Alan Edwards Assistant Director of Student Support
Dear Mr _____
I am writing to inform you that on a recent visit to your flat your Block Warden, Miss _____, had suspicion that an illegal substance was being used and that you may been one of the people using it. I would like to remind you that the use fo illegal substances in Halls is a breach of the Licence Agreement and University Rules and Regulations. If proven, this could be a serious offence. You would also face University disciplinary action. Duty staff have been notified of this suspicion.
Yours Sincerely,
Dr D A Poyton Warden
