A dialect of English spoken by the Welsh in Wales. Not only does Wenglish contain obscure grammar, but it even contains some completely new words.

Examples include:

- Verb at the beginning of the sentence or question for emphasis

"Rainin' nasty, it is"
"Rainin' nasty is it?"


Words

Ach-a-fi: Show of disgust, "You should 'ave seen the state 'e was in, ach-a-fi!"

Anch / Ansh: A piece or a taste, “Gimme an anch of your hotdog will ‘ew”

Aye: Affirmative, "Aye, go on then, I'll take a gram"

Aye-aye: Greeting, "Aye-aye, how you doin' boyo?"

Bach: Welsh for 'little', term of affection, "Alright Dai bach, tip top butt”

Boyo / Butt, Way of addressing a friend, "Hiya butt, cuppa tea is it?"

Cwtch: Cuddle, embrace, "They could all cwtch up like"

Tah rah / So long: Goodbye, "Tah rah / So long mam"

Ta: Thank you, "Ta butt, so long"

Tidy: Excellent, very good, "The Black Lion does a tidy roast of a sunday"
