The Year spent away from the comforting womb of MotherAberystwyth . Often spent in hard and inaccessable places where peoples everyday mannerisms seem strange and scary, like Ireland, Brecon or Germany. Of course some who actually cannot bear to leave Aberystwyth work for InformationServices in a menial and demeaning role (see sp0d,shigs). Worse of all are those who end up getting sent to a country halfway across the world and get caught up in a maoist/anti-monarchy rebellion, (not his fault, see Ferret). The things people do to get a degree.
